Mr. Jacobson focuses his practice on employment-based immigration matters for corporate clients in various industries, including financial services, media, information technology, and market research/advertising.

He advises his clients on strategies and procedures to obtain work visas and permanent residence status for their employees and potential employees. He prepares all forms of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions including B-1/B-2, E-2, E-3, H-1B, H-3, J-1, L-1A/L-1B, O-1, P-1 (for athletes and entertainers), TN, EB-1 (all types), EB-2 (including exceptional ability), EB-3 petitions, and PERM applications.

Mr. Jacobson provides advice regarding I-9 employment compliance issues and other administrative types of employment immigration matters, such as LCA file preparation and maintenance.

Mr. Jacobson also handles matters for individual clients involving family based immigration issues such as I-130 based immigrant petitions, permanent residence interviews and U.S. naturalization applications.

Mr. Jacobson has written published commentary regarding the field of business immigration law, has appeared at numerous industry conferences and has served as a member of the American Immigration Lawyer Association’s Department of Labor Liaison Committee.
