Employment-Related Immigration and Strategic Immigration Planning
As the world becomes increasingly globalized and businesses more closely integrated, United States immigration laws have come to affect many companies doing business in the United States. We provide guidance on a full range of issues affecting international businesses and industries, such as information technology, financial services, hospitality, entertainment and real estate. We work to address the immigration/visa and work authorization needs of work personnel, based in the United States and abroad, including professionals, executives, treaty investors/traders, essential workers, persons of extraordinary ability, corporate trainees and students. We help clients navigate often complex regulations to secure non-immigrant (temporary) visas, including H1b (professionals), L (executives or intra-company transferees), E (treaty traders/investors), O (persons of extraordinary ability), J (exchange visitors), TN visas for Canadians and Mexican nationals, tourists, entertainers, foreign media professionals, foreign medical workers, international organizations, students and religious worker visas.
We help obtain immigrant (permanent) visas or green cards, Eb5 immigrant investor visas, for extraordinary-ability immigrants, including outstanding professors and researchers, healthcare professionals, media professionals, and family-based immigrants, multi-national executives, and other categories of employment-based immigrants.
We represent many individuals in immigration detention and in deportation proceedings. To service our clients fully, we develop and draft compliance programs and conduct training sessions for, among other things, I-9 (employment eligibility) compliance, H1b petitions, and programs for sponsoring foreign nationals for permanent residence (PERM Labor Certifications).
When the need arises, we represent businesses and individuals in government investigations, audits and other proceedings.
